Erasmus Plus Project ‘Entrepreneurial Skills for Young Artists’ provided hungarian young creators with essential artistic entrepreneurship skills. As part of this project, eight workshops were held in Budapest to support emerging artists in navigating the complexities of the artistic industry and building successful careers.
These training sessions benefited from the contribution of dedicated experts, each bringing extensive experience and expertise in the fields of art and entrepreneurship. Ab Ovo Közművelődési Egyesület, in collaboration with Fiatal Képzőművészek Stúdiója Egyesület, coordinated this series of workshops, featuring professionals such as Anna Seress, Kocsi Olga, Istvánkó Beáta, Fodor Dániel János, Lendeczki Kinga, Csejdy Borka, Héjjas Emese, Nagy Gergely, Fazekasch Ildikó, and Fanni Solymár. These experts were responsible for providing valuable insights into artistic management, personal brand development, and innovative marketing strategies.
The workshops were designed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge to navigate the artistic ecosystem effectively, including understanding the various entities that contribute to the functioning of the art market. From critical analysis of the market and support structures to developing marketing strategies and personal branding, each session was designed to enhance the entrepreneurial skills of young artists.
A particular emphasis was placed on using social media and other online platforms to increase visibility and build a strong digital presence. The artists learned how to create and maintain an updated online portfolio, write effective artist statements, and use storytelling as a tool for personal branding. These skills are essential for attracting the attention of curators, collectors, and other important players in the art world.
The training sessions in Budapest provided a valuable opportunity for young artists to acquire practical and theoretical skills essential for developing a successful career in visual arts. With the support of experienced trainers and a well-structured program, participants were equipped to face the challenges and opportunities in the contemporary art industry. The Cosmic House Foundation (Romania) and Ab Ovo Közművelődési Egyesület (Hungary) coordinated this project in collaboration with Fiatal Képzőművészek Stúdiója Egyesület, ensuring a professional learning environment for all participants.
